Château Tayac, AOP Margaux

a stylish, modern Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, grown on gravelly soils around Soussans. It opens with pronounced aromas of blackberries, cassis, and wild strawberry, layered with subtle notes of mocha, Mediterranean herbs, and a touch of toast. On the palate, it’s supple and well-built, offering dense fruit flavors, elegant austerity, and a silky texture balanced by grippy tannins and fresh acidity. Aged for 10–12 months in French oak (35% new), it finishes with depth, precision, and a lingering note of smoke and star anise.
