Jim Barry Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon 75cl

Named after a cricket ground, this Cabernet delivers concentrated aromas of blackcurrant and plum, layered with cedar, mocha, and toast. The palate is powerful yet sculpted, with firm tannins, bright acidity, and a long finish. It’s a bold wine with aging potential and a nod to sporting heritage.
On the southern boundary of Coonawarra lies the historic Penola cricket ground, where local champions played their first match in 1950. Retired in 1996, the property was purchased by Jim Barry the following year, who planted Cabernet Sauvignon. Inspired by the vineyard’s cricketing legacy, the Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon, first released in 2001, consistently shows great line and length.
