The Old Bean Truck Cabernet Sauvignon is expressive and unmistakably varietal, with violet and cassis notes balanced by a hint of green tea leaf. Medium-bodied, with chalky tannins and fresh acidity, it’s youthful yet approachable, evolving into more mid-palate richness over the next 5+ years.
For many years, Francis Earnest Osborn, grandfather of d'Arenberg Chief Winemaker Chester Osborn, could be found transporting grapes from the family vineyards to his new winery in his old 'Bean' truck. Unlike Frank’s old 'Bean' truck, the winery he built in the late 1920s still serves the d'Arenberg estate today.
