Domaine Michel Girard Sancerre, AOP Sancerre

a beautifully expressive Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, crafted with precision and elegance. On the nose, it opens with herbaceous and aromatic notes, hinting at fresh-cut grass and wild herbs. The palate is taut and vibrant, showcasing citrus zest and mineral undertones, with a clean, crisp acidity that keeps it lively.
You might also detect layers of grapefruit, orange, and a subtle almond nuttiness, adding depth and roundness to the mouthfeel. A whisper of stony minerality lingers through the finish, giving it a refined edge. It’s a wine that balances purity with complexity, thanks to the blending of grapes from Sancerre’s three distinct soil types: Terres Blanches, Caillottes, and Silex.
